We are looking for a motivated Stress Engineer in Friedrichshafen, who can take on the challenges faced by our customer Airbus Defence and Space GmbH with creative and innovative ideas.

Task description

  • Responsibility for the mechanical and thermal design of an electronic unit from the architecture phase to the qualification phase and delivery of flight units
  • Coordinating the technical team in charge of mechanical design (CAD Office), PCB layout routing, mechanical and thermal analyses and justification files, qualification of EEE parts assembly for the implementation of the design for manufacturing rules
  • Managing all the documentation relative to mechanical and thermal engineering with customers during the various reviews
  • Assessing and providing justification about the mechanical and thermal behavior
  • Responsibility for the specifications and establishing the equipment physical designs with the typical main parts
  • Preparing the unit mechanical assembly tools and procedures with support of Production Methods, Design Office and Quality Teams in order to ensuring the optimized production cost
  • Participating in sub-projects in a view of packaging activities and design as well as of test and validation engineering

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering
  • At least professional experience as stress engineer with focal of mechanical and thermal design of electronic unit
  • Practical expertise in engineering and manufacturing engineering
  • Know-How in mechanical and/or thermal simulation
  • Good knowledge of MCAD tools and data such as NX, Solid Edge, CATIA, SolidWorks or AutoCAD are desirable
  • Fluent English and versed German skills
  • CV in English is required
