We are looking for a Composite Engineer Production Development & Series Readiness for future programs for our customer Airbus Operations GmbH at their Hamburg Finkenwerder site. In this key position, you will support the development of new manufacturing technologies for composite structures in the fuselage area – from research to industrial maturity. Tasks
- Development and implementation of the technology roadmap for increasing the maturity of new composite processes
- Protection of intellectual property (IP) in the context of technological developments
- Evaluation, selection, and development of composite solutions for series production
- Support for automation and inspection processes in the composite sector
- Close collaboration with design, stress, quality, and simulation engineers to develop integrated manufacturing solutions
- Cooperation with research partners, technology centers, and suppliers
- Documentation of maturity levels through reports and presentations
- Support for risk assessment within projects
Qualifications
- Completed master's or diploma degree in engineering or technology
- Several years of professional experience in research & development, manufacturing engineering, materials testing, and composite materials
- Knowledge of project management as well as composite-specific quality requirements, manufacturing standards, and specifications
- Confident use of Google Workspace
- Very good English skills (at least C1), German skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally is desirable
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
- Resume in English is required
