Aerospace Manufacturing Support Services In Detail
Entry & Final Assembly Line (FAL)
Our teams support OEMs at the Final Assembly Line (FAL), a critical phase in aerospace manufacturing, by combining technical proficiency and structured processes. We provide mechanical and electrical support tailored to each aircraft program, ensuring that installations, modifications, and functional tests are carried out accurately and in line with production schedules. Our specialists work hand in hand with OEM teams, performing double checks and quality inspections to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance are maintained from the outset.
If required, each aircraft can be assigned a dedicated A/C Manager who oversees all relevant production steps, acts as a single point of contact and ensures smooth FAL coordination between departments, partners and internal stakeholders. Our FAL coordinators manage the day-to-day operational alignment, orchestrating the entire drumbeat of activities across the line - from partner integration to planning and problem resolution.
This tight coordination ensures transparency in execution, minimizes process deviations, and allows for fast, informed decisions on site. With our support, OEMs benefit from a stable and predictable production flow that can respond flexibly to changing requirements.
Outstanding Work (OSW)
In aircraft production, unfinished tasks don’t just delay delivery — they disrupt the entire production rhythm. That’s why ARTS Group provides structured and reliable OSW support directly on site. Our teams manage and execute open work packages, ensuring full transparency and efficient resolution of all remaining tasks.
We take care of the complete tracking and coordination of outstanding work, including the planning and closure of reliquats. Whether it’s mechanical adjustments, electrical corrections, final fittings or documentation updates — we handle what’s left with the same precision as the main production phases. This ensures that all interventions are traceable, quality assured, and aligned with aircraft delivery timelines.
Our support is fully adapted to your internal production logic. We integrate into your processes, not the other way around. From daily coordination meetings to last-minute task shifts, our specialists are used to working in dynamic environments where priorities can change quickly. And because we understand the pressure to meet delivery commitments, we stay focused on solutions that keep your aircraft moving — and your production line on track.
Engine Installation & Management
Engines are one of the most complex and regulated components in aircraft production — and they demand precision at every step. At ARTS Group, our specialists manage the entire engine handling process from preparation through final inspection, ensuring seamless integration into your production schedule and full compliance with OEM standards.
We begin with comprehensive engine preparation, including visual checks, configuration verification, and pre-installation adjustments. Our teams ensure that all components are aligned with the aircraft's build status and that interfaces are ready for clean installation — reducing the risk of rework and ensuring operational readiness.
During installation, we follow manufacturer-specific procedures down to the smallest detail. From mounting to system connection and alignment, every step is executed by certified specialists with deep experience in OEM production environments. We coordinate closely with FAL teams and quality departments to ensure that the engine installation is fully embedded in the overall production rhythm.
Once installed, we perform a final quality inspection that includes torque checks, leak tests, configuration validation, and full documentation of results. This includes digital traceability and structured handover to the next production phase or the customer. Our quality assurance processes are aligned with ISO 9001 and EN 9100 standards, ensuring that all work is fully auditable and meets the strictest regulatory and OEM-specific requirements.
With ARTS Group, you don’t just get hands-on support — you get a partner who understands the technical, logistical, and compliance-related demands of engine integration in aircraft production.
Flight Test & Delivery Center Support
The final stages before aircraft handover require maximum precision, coordination, and responsiveness. At ARTS Group, we support OEMs and production partners with experienced personnel and structured processes throughout the test and delivery phase — ensuring that every aircraft is flight-ready, compliant, and delivered with confidence.
Our teams carry out detailed pre- and post-flight inspections, closely aligned with flight test protocols and OEM requirements. We ensure that all systems are correctly configured, documented, and verified before each test flight — and that any discrepancies or findings are immediately addressed and resolved.
We also manage the coordination of Service Bulletin (SB) applications, including planning, execution, and documentation. Our specialists track SB implementation in real time, ensuring that all required updates are incorporated before delivery and that any impact on the loading plan is fully accounted for.
During test campaigns, we support both the technical and operational sides. This includes preparing aircraft for multiple flight test scenarios, coordinating with test pilots and engineering teams, and managing any rework or post-flight adjustments needed between sorties. Every step is documented and tracked to guarantee traceability and alignment with program targets.
For ferry flights, we take care of the technical preparation and all necessary checks, ensuring that aircraft are cleared for transfer flights — including fuel planning, configuration validation, and coordination with delivery teams. Our support continues through customer visits and final delivery, where we act as a reliable interface between OEM teams and end clients. We help coordinate inspections, manage documentation, and ensure that delivery timelines are met without compromise.
This phase is about more than ticking boxes — it’s about delivering an aircraft that meets expectations down to the last detail. That’s where our experience, flexibility, and commitment make the difference.
Aircraft Storage & Preservation
Aircraft that are temporarily out of operation need more than just parking space — they require careful planning, ongoing attention, and the ability to return them to service at short notice. At ARTS Group, we support the full aircraft lifecycle in aerospace manufacturing — including tailored storage and preservation solutions as part of our Hangarage Services that ensure your assets remain in optimal condition, whether for a few weeks or over longer periods.
Our teams carry out regular inspections at defined intervals to monitor and maintain the condition of the aircraft. These inspections include:
- checks on structural integrity, system fluid levels, electrical and avionic components,
- environmental protection measures, and potential signs of corrosion or wear.
All findings are documented and addressed in accordance with OEM and regulatory standards, ensuring full traceability and airworthiness at every stage.
Depending on the storage duration and aircraft type, we apply preservation procedures that may include:
- sealing openings,
- installing desiccants,
- deactivating certain systems,
- protecting sensitive equipment and cabin interiors,
- engine and APU preservation,
- fuel system treatment,
- wheel and brake protection.
Every step is aligned with OEM guidelines and the specific storage program required by the operator or lessor.
When the aircraft is scheduled to return into the Final Assembly Line (FAL) or re-enter service, we take care of the full reactivation process: from de-preservation and system reinitialisation to functional testing and documentation updates. We coordinate with production or maintenance teams to ensure that the aircraft is reintegrated smoothly into the active fleet or production flow, with minimal delay and no compromise on safety or compliance.
Our goal is to ensure that every stored aircraft remains a ready-to-use asset — not a liability. With structured processes, certified personnel, and close alignment with OEM and operator requirements, we help you protect the value of your fleet, even when it’s not flying.
