On behalf of our client Lufthansa Technik AG, we are currently looking for an Engineer Design & Development at the Hamburg site. In this technically demanding environment, you will develop tooling and fixtures for processing metal and composite components in the aviation industry. Tasks
- Design and development of complex components, assemblies, and fixtures
- Creation of production-ready drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation
- Planning, procurement, and commissioning of special fixtures for aircraft components made of metal and composite materials
- Analysis and further development of existing tooling and equipment
- Technical approval and release of manufactured fixtures
- Project work related to the equipment of production facilities with machines and systems
- Consulting internal stakeholders on fixture concepts and operating equipment
Qualifications
- Completed university degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, engineering or a comparable qualification
- Initial professional experience in fixture or tooling design
- Knowledge of product and operational safety (Machinery Directive, German Product Safety Act, Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health)
- Strong general IT skills and confident handling of CAD software, ideally SolidWorks
- Good English skills (at least B2)
- Team spirit as well as strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
