We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser Process Optimization for our customer Airbus Operations GmbH at their Hamburg Finkenwerder site. In this position, you will be responsible for the strategic purchasing of spare parts and services in the aerostructures division, with a focus on delivery capability, cost optimization, and quality. Tasks

  • Conducting price inquiries (RFQs) for spare parts and services to ensure competitive terms and fast response times
  • Developing and implementing category-specific purchasing strategies in the area of customer service aerostructures
  • Independent execution of calls for tenders (CFTs), including needs analysis, market review, negotiation, and contract conclusion
  • Contract and risk management throughout the entire life cycle – nationally and internationally
  • Active supplier management, in particular performance analysis and project management
  • Implementation of standardized procurement processes in close cooperation with engineering, supply chain, and program teams
  • Initiation of strategic supplier development to ensure capacity and technological maturity
  • Implementation of claim management in the event of deviations, quality defects, or delivery delays
  • Identification and implementation of cost reduction measures in collaboration with technical teams

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain/logistics or a comparable field
  • Several years of professional experience in purchasing, contract management, project management and commercial administration
  • Initial experience in process optimization
  • In-depth application knowledge of SAP and confident use of Google Workspace
  • Business fluent English skills (at least C1) and advanced German skills (at least B2)
  • Resume in English required
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
