At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Ottobrunn near Munich or in Immenstaad, you will take on operational responsibility for highly available data center infrastructure as an IT Infrastructure Administrator. You ensure the smooth operation of HPE server hardware and virtualization environments – from provisioning new software packages to proactive fault analysis.

Responsibilities
- Software Provisioning: Provision and manage new software packages and upgrades for the IT infrastructure
- Infrastructure Operations: Ensure and maintain the operational condition of the infrastructure according to OLAs/SLAs
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and track it against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Product Management Support: Communicate improvements, updates, and obsolescence management of products to the IT Product Manager
- ITIL Processes: Execute ITIL-based support processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, and Event Management
- Fault Analysis: Analyze console messages, diagnose system failures, and take corrective action to maintain operations
- Availability Management: Identify and implement technologies and processes that improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of the system environment
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification (at least Master's/Diploma degree)
- Several years of professional experience in IT/information systems
- Deep, solid practical experience with VMware vSphere and Nutanix
- Demonstrable experience in an ITIL-organized environment (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Experience with physical HPE server hardware (e.g., hardware replacement, server maintenance, firmware updates) is mandatory
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and business fluent English (at least C1)
- Willingness for 24/7 on-call duty
- Strong teamwork skills, analytical thinking, and an independent way of working
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
