Tasks

• Preparing and following up on the aircraft as part of ground and flight operations
• Installing and removing aircraft system subassemblies on the tarmac/runway
• Performing corrections and repairs of simple defects on the aircraft structure as well as on electrical, avionics, and mechanical systems
• Adjusting aircraft system or structure assemblies directly on the runway
• Diagnosing anomalies in aircraft systems on the runway and assisting with troubleshooting

• Assisting with repairs and receiving the aircraft after the flight and moving it to the engines (at takeoff and destination)

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in a skilled trade, for example, motor vehicle mechanic, metalworker/bodywork technician, or in a metalworking profession
• Several years of professional experience in manufacturing/production and in the field of mechanics
• Advanced German (at least B2); basic English
• Willingness to work 2 shifts (weekly rotation)
• Class CE driver's license (formerly Class 2) mandatory; forklift license desirable
• A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
