The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 78,341 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 31.03.2028. Responsibilities
- Compliance monitoring: Supporting the continuous monitoring of compliance with the Major Accidents Ordinance (12th BImSchV) and safety-related requirements
- Consultation & training: Assisting the Major Accidents Officer in providing technical advice to the operator and the workforce
- Safety concept development: Actively preparing, creating, and updating the written concept for preventing major accidents
- Plant inspections: Accompanying regular inspections, independently documenting safety deficiencies, and tracking agreed-upon corrective measures
- Reporting: Preparing the annual report to management on implemented measures and the overall safety situation
- Authority communication: Supporting the preparation for authority inspections and coordinating required documentation
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree (at least Bachelor's) in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field of study
- Several years of professional experience in environmental engineering, plant engineering, or operational environmental protection
- Specialist training course according to § 7 of the 5th BImSchV is an advantage
- Proficient use of Google Workspace
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and basic English skills (at least A2)
- Structured, independent, and results-oriented way of working
- Strong communication skills and teamwork
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
