At Airbus Operations GmbH in Bremen, you will take on the role of Beluga Mechanic / Aircraft Handler, ensuring the safe and reliable loading and unloading of aircraft as well as ground transport of large components. Responsibilities
- Aircraft handling: Preparation, de-icing, and individual loading/unloading of aircraft based on loading instructions
- Aircraft maneuvering: Docking/undocking, jacking/unjacking, and guiding aircraft to parking positions
- Beluga loading: Operating specialized equipment and performing final acceptance of loading before handover to the crew
- Large component logistics: Transport of wing structures and sections using air transport frames within and between sites
- Supply reliability: Connecting power supply (Power on) and providing other utility services
- Project support: Periodic involvement in national small-scale projects to optimize transport processes
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic, certified aircraft handler (IHK), logistics specialist, or in a metalworking trade
- Many years of experience in warehouse logistics or transport
- Experience in aircraft handling is an advantage
- Willingness to work shifts in a 3-shift system including weekend work and to perform tasks outdoors even in winter conditions
- Reliability, quality awareness and a focused, independent way of working
- Possession of all required forklift truck licenses (forklift, crane, mobile elevating work platform) as well as a class B/BE driving license by the start of employment
- German language skills at a business fluent level (at least C1)
- Basic skills in English (at least A2)
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
