We are seeking you as a Structural Assembly Mechanic in the A400M environment for Airbus Defence and Space GmbH at its Bremen location – for a fixed-term contract of 1 year. You will work closely with the product, using clear drawings, established standards, and high-quality requirements. The position is subject to export controls and a secure hiring process. Responsibilities
- Performing repair work on the aircraft fuselage, e.g., for damage to the outer skin
- Preparing work orders by reviewing and sorting work orders and drawings
- Setting up components and the work area, as well as inspecting and preparing manufacturing aids
- Positioning and securing components according to specifications
- Assembling components and subassemblies in the structural assembly area
- Documenting the work steps performed in accordance with process requirements
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic or in a metalworking trade
- Several years of professional experience in manufacturing/production as well as in aircraft construction and structural assembly (experience in the aviation sector is required)
- Advanced German (min. B2); willingness to work 3 shifts
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (not a student visa) is mandatory
