At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching, you will work as a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer at the interface between system design and development. The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 57,075 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 31.05.2027. Responsibilities
- Requirements analysis for military and civil Flight Management Systems and Flight Guidance functions
- System design and development of FMS and automation functions for the integration of RPAS into general airspace
- Design and development of Flight Guidance functions
- Management of subcontractors for specific development areas
- Verification and Validation: specification and execution of laboratory, ground, and flight tests
- System integration of unmanned aerial systems (RPAS) such as Remote Carrier and Eurodrone
Qualifications
- Successfully completed university degree in Aerospace Engineering or a comparable field (at least Bachelor's)
- Many years of experience in Systems Engineering, especially with Flight Management Systems or similar systems
- Experience with Flight Crew Alerting Systems or UAV/RPAS is beneficial
- Proficient use of design and simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink or SCADE
- Business fluent English (at least C1)
- German skills are beneficial
- Willingness to work in an international team as well as high motivation
- Teamwork skills, communication strength, and analytical thinking ability
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
