At Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg-Finkenwerder, you will take on the role of Configuration Management Specialist, centrally controlling change processes and product structures. You coordinate configuration management activities for the A320 programme and ensure compliance with processes, deadlines, and quality targets – in close coordination with international teams and functional areas.

Responsibilities
- Configuration Management: Central control and coordination of all CM activities and responsibility for process deliverables such as changes and product structure updates
- Programme Control: Ensuring configuration control for the A320 programme in coordination with transnational stakeholders and functional CM areas
- Project Leadership: Responsibility for time, cost, and quality of deliverables within the framework of Configuration Control Boards (CCB)
- Change Requests: Ensuring change requests are decided in a timely, cost-efficient, and quality-compliant manner
- Reporting & KPIs: Creation of meaningful key performance indicators to support business strategy
- Process Expertise: Application and assurance of CM concepts, sub-processes, and procedures as well as interface management with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing
- Project Representation: Supporting and representing the configuration management function in internal and external projects such as digitalisation initiatives
Qualifications
- Completed degree in aerospace engineering, engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable technical field (at least Bachelor's)
- Several years of professional experience in configuration management, ideally in the aerospace industry
- Good knowledge of change management and project management; basic knowledge of risk and quality management is an advantage
- Proficient handling of ICC (Integrated Change Control) and Google Workspace; practical experience with data management and AI tools is a plus
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and business fluent English (at least C1); Spanish or French are advantageous
- Willingness to travel irregularly within Europe (1-2 times per year)
- Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and teamwork abilities for collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
