At Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg-Finkenwerder, you will take on the role of Strategic Buyer. You will be responsible for the strategic procurement of galleys and catering equipment. You will manage tenders, negotiate contracts, and oversee the entire contract lifecycle – from innovation to series production. Your goal is to maximise customer value and minimise risks through optimal purchasing conditions and professional supplier management.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Procurement: Conduct tenders and contract negotiations for galleys and catering equipment to achieve optimal purchasing conditions
- Contract Management: Monitor the entire contract lifecycle (innovation, development, series, support) and ensure compliance with all terms and conditions
- Supplier Management: Manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers and oversee projects to optimise customer value and minimise total costs and risks
- Performance Management: Ensure and monitor supplier performance across all dimensions (logistics, support, quality, cost)
- Project Coordination: Collaborate in multifunctional and multidisciplinary teams during the tendering, contracting, and contract lifecycle phases
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or International Management (at least Bachelor's)
- Several years of professional experience in procurement, supplier management, supply chain/logistics, and contract management; Airbus experience is an advantage
- Initial experience in strategic procurement, ideally for technical products or cabin equipment
- Proficient use of MS Excel and MS Word; initial application knowledge of SAP and Google Workspace
- Business fluent English (at least C1); German skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel on business (1-2 times per year, mostly within Europe, possibly worldwide)
- Structured and results-oriented working style, strong communication skills, and teamwork
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
