Responsibilities


  • Manufacturing Equipment Design: Development of manufacturing concepts and technologies for the economical production of Airbus products
  • Tooling Development: Design and development of tooling for civil and military aircraft models
  • FEMI Concepts: Independent creation of FEMI concepts including specification
  • Project Control: Independent planning and control of design offices as well as review of deliverables regarding quality, schedule, and costs
  • VR Simulation: Simulation of manufacturing concepts in a VR environment regarding production-relevant aspects (Unreal Engine)
  • Sub-Project Management: Taking on sub-project management for FEMI projects and working in integrated teams
  • Technology Development: Continuous advancement of tooling technology to increase efficiency and optimize tooling and RC costs
  • Cost and Schedule Control: Performing cost and schedule calculations for FEMIs as well as controlling


Qualifications

  • Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, a technical field, or a comparable qualification (at least Bachelor's)
  • Several years of professional experience in design, preferably in tooling or component design
  • Solid experience in creating manufacturing concepts and in-depth knowledge of aircraft structure manufacturing
  • Detailed specialist knowledge of Catia V4 and Catia V5; knowledge of CADAM, DELMIA, and Unreal Engine is an advantage
  • In-depth application knowledge of SAP; detailed specialist knowledge of MS Office
  • Business fluent German (at least C1) and business fluent English (at least C1)
  • Good knowledge of project management; basic knowledge of the CAPEX process is an advantage
  • Creativity, teamwork, structured working methods, resilience, flexibility, and willingness to travel
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
