Tasks
- Create and deliver production-quality Class A surfaces, including gap, flush and manufacturing requirements
- Develop complex 3D sketch models based on styling inputs and 2D renderings, in line with Airbus Helicopters design guidelines
- Ensure design and engineering convergence with a strong focus on outstanding surface quality
- Actively propose shapes, iterate quickly in 3D modelling, and challenge existing solutions constructively
- Manage and maintain the 3D master shape in the Digital Mock-up (DMU) environment, especially in CATIA V5
- Perform DMU consultations and derive key technical data to secure surface integrity
- Create basic real-time renderings, VR sessions and digital presentations to precisely showcase surface quality
- Advance methods and tools for A-Class surfacing through consistent use and optimisation of ICEM-SURF
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Design, Interior Architecture / Interior Design or Graphic Design
- Extensive professional experience in design engineering, research and development and interior design (min. 5 years, ideally 10 years)
- Experience in exterior design, ideally in the automotive and/or aerospace industry, is a strong advantage
- Advanced specialist knowledge of CATIA V5 and deep expertise (min. 10 years) in ICEM-SURF (A-Class modelling methods, proven track record in Class A surfacing)
- Knowledge of Autodesk ALIAS Surface and digital rendering tools (e.g. KeyShot, Unity, VRED) to visualise surface-quality nuances
- Very good German and English skills (min. C1)
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
