Quality assurance directly on the aircraft – your work secures the painting processes of series production.

At Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg-Finkenwerder, you will manage quality assurance for the painting processes of Single Aisle aircraft as a Quality Inspector Paint Shop specialist. You will work within the FAL Quality Organisation team, combining office work with direct shopfloor support on the aircraft – from root cause analysis to final inspection.

Responsibilities


  • Root cause analysis of technical quality problems, including investigation and documentation
  • Quality inspections according to defined standards, including planning, execution, and final certification
  • Operational monitoring of personnel, products, and processes in the paint area
  • Feedback and coaching on quality topics for operational and support functions
  • Process improvements by actively participating in and optimizing inspection activities
  • Foreign object damage (FOD) prevention through proactive measures
  • Non-Conformities creation, tracking, and closure


Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic, aircraft builder, materials tester, or comparable technical training, at least at master craftsman level
  • Several years of professional experience in the aerospace industry
  • Several years of experience in quality assurance and in structural assembly
  • Solid application knowledge of SAP; basic knowledge of Google Workspace
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Management
  • Business fluent German (at least C1); proficient English (at least B2)
  • Willingness to work in shifts (2-shift system, early and late)
  • Independent, structured, and results-oriented way of working, high sense of responsibility, and pronounced communication skills
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
