At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching, you will work as a Software Developer Simulation & Training to develop the software foundation for modern training and debriefing stations. You design user-friendly interfaces and implement scalable, maintainable system architectures using C++ & Qt/QML – in an environment where software directly meets the needs of pilots and instructors.

Responsibilities
- Requirements analysis with stakeholders and customers to gather and define software requirements
- Software architecture for simulation control stations, instructor operating stations, and flight training debriefing stations
- UI/UX design of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces and concepts
- Software development with C++ & Qt/QML: design, develop, test, and maintain clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
- Error analysis and resolution through debugging and bug fixing
- Risk management of technical risks and issues with the definition of appropriate mitigation strategies
- Agile development through participation in planning, stand-up, review, and retrospective meetings
- Code reviews to ensure compliance with defined coding standards
Qualifications
- Successfully completed Master's or Diplom degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field of study
- Many years of professional experience in IT / software development
- Experience in the simulation domain is an advantage
- Deep knowledge of C++ and Qt/QML for programming interfaces
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and English (at least C1)
- Good communication skills for efficient collaboration in cross-functional teams
- Analytical thinking and independent working style
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
