Real-time simulation for military training systems – your software takes pilot training to the next level.
At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching, you will work as a Software Developer Real-Time Simulation to develop the modular and scalable Airbus Common Synthetic Environment (ACSE). You will help shape the synthetic environment for Eurofighter, SIRTAP, and Eurodrone training simulators, directly contributing to the realistic training of military pilots.

Responsibilities
- Software development in C++ for services of the synthetic real-time environment (ACSE)
- API design and implementation of interfaces between different services and external systems
- Software architecture co-design and development of a service-oriented architecture for the Synthetic Environment
- Continuous Integration and testing of developed services, including automated integration tests in the CI pipeline
- DevOps principles and corresponding tools application
- Software verification support and root cause analysis and bug fixing for reported issues
- Documentation of software design, interfaces, and tests
Qualifications
- Completed Master's or Diploma degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- At least several years of professional experience in software development with C++
- Experience in developing distributed, service-oriented software systems
- Very good knowledge of modern C++ and asynchronous programming
- Knowledge of CMake, Conan2, Git, Jenkins, and Docker/Podman
- Business fluent English (at least C1)
- Team player skills, proactive working style, and ability to work in a dynamic environment
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
