Responsibilities
- EMC requirements for aircraft and ground systems at system and equipment level by defining, analyzing, and verifying them
- EMC analysis including shielding effectiveness, grounding schemes, cable routing, and coupling mechanisms
- Technical expertise to design teams on EMC best practices and compliant designs
- Test activities in accredited facilities by actively supporting test preparation, execution, and data evaluation
- Supplier monitoring for EMC-related activities and evaluation of test reports
- Documentation such as test reports, analysis reports, and compliance matrices
- Design reviews by contributing input on EMC/EMI aspects and supporting clearance activities
- Troubleshooting and resolving EMC/EMI issues during development and testing phases
Qualifications
- Successfully completed Master's or Diplom degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Communication Technology/High-Frequency Technology
- Several years of professional experience in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), preferably in the aerospace or defense industry
- Strong understanding of EMC principles, theories, and standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, DO160)
- Hands-on experience with EMC test equipment and facilities
- Proficiency in using EM simulation tools (e.g., FEKO, CST Studio Suite, ANSYS HFSS)
- Business fluent English (at least C1); German knowledge is a plus
- Analytical skills, communication strength, and teamwork
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
