At Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH in Donauwörth, you will analyze the external loads and dynamic stresses on helicopters as an Aircraft Loads & Dynamics Engineer. Using analytical methods and flight mechanics simulations, you will contribute to the optimization of the overall vehicle and the qualification of equipment parts – from specification to the evaluation of test campaigns.

Responsibilities
- Loads Determination: Determine external loads on aircraft due to trim conditions, maneuver flights, or difficult conditions using analytical methods, simulations, and measurement data evaluation
- Test Campaigns: Plan and execute the specification, support, and evaluation of component tests as well as ground and flight tests
- Vehicle Optimization: Contribute to the optimization process of the overall vehicle and provide overall vehicle loads and sensitivity analyses
- Methods Development: Further develop leading methods and competencies in the areas of loads & aeroelasticity along with the required tools
- Product Certification: Support product certification and drive the further development of requirements in this area
- Qualification: Qualify and certify equipment parts with regard to dynamics and vibrations
Qualifications
- Completed Master's or Diplom degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field of study
- Initial experience in the analysis of test data and with finite element calculations (e.g., Nastran)
- Good knowledge of the fundamentals of aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and aeroelasticity
- Programming and scripting experience with Python
- Basic skills in German (at least A2); business fluent English (at least C1)
- Teamwork skills, strong communication skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to work
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
