Responsibilities
- Strength calculations using handbook methods and Finite Element Method (FEM), both linear and non-linear
- Verification reports for static strength and fatigue, including their release
- Test programs planning, test order creation, and supervision of tests
- Lifespan verification and definition of inspection and maintenance intervals
- Structural analyses in all development phases for an optimized design regarding strength, lifespan, weight, and cost
- Certification support, for example by integrating verification documentation into certification databases
- Processing of non-conformities and definition of rework and repair measures
- Customer service inquiries in the structural domain, addressing and resolving them
Qualifications
- Completed Master's or Diplom degree in Aerospace Engineering or a completed Bachelor's degree with additional specific experience and further training
- Several years of professional experience in development, specifically as a Stress Engineer in the aerospace sector
- Many years of practical experience in the field of statics and fatigue for aircraft
- In-depth knowledge of linear / non-linear FEM methods (e.g., Hyperworks, NASTRAN, Optistruct) and basic skills in Python
- Business fluent English (at least C1); German language skills are advantageous
- Very good knowledge of general structural requirements for aircraft (CS 27/29), of metallic and composite materials, and of standard handbook methods (Niu, Bruhn, HSB)
- Experience in an international and multicultural work environment
- Organized and pragmatic working style, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
