At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching, you will develop simulation models and tools for flight mechanics as a Flight Mechanics Engineer. You will work at the interface between aerodynamics, system design, and flight testing, making a significant contribution to the clearance and optimization of aircraft.

The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 72,161 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 30.04.2027. Responsibilities
- Flight mechanics models and simulation tools for handling qualities
- Independently perform and evaluate clearance assessments
- Prepare and maintain existing simulation models, test cases, and input data
- Actively support flight test campaigns and analyze flight test data
- Perform linear and non-linear simulations for clearance activities
- Analyze complex simulation results and aerodynamic data
- Document and summarize results
- Work closely with interface disciplines such as aerodynamics, system design, and loads analysis
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in Aerospace Engineering (at least Master's/Diploma)
- Several years of professional experience in IT and aviation environments
- Experience in developing flight mechanics models and simulations
- Proficient use of at least one programming language: MATLAB, Simulink, Java, or Python
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and English (at least C1)
- Strong communication skills and team player mentality
- Independent and self-motivated way of working
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
