At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching, you will support production processes within the E-3A AWACS program as a Structural Mechanics Engineer at Airbus. You are the interface between shop floor and engineering, solving complex problems and optimizing maintenance and upkeep processes with your technical know-how.

The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 63,141 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 30.04.2027. Responsibilities


  • Shop Floor Support: Solving problems within maintenance and upkeep processes directly at the production site
  • Engineering Interface: Providing detailed information for design engineering, for example by creating Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
  • Process Documentation: Creating neutral work plans for the verification of Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) activities
  • Team Coordination: Supporting multifunctional teams in problem-solving and improvement processes
  • Production Integration: Direct communication and physical participation in production team routines
  • Feedback Management: Planning regular feedback loops with the production team
  • First Installations: Preparing and supervising first installations with feedback loops for the manufacturing area
  • Process Optimization: Supporting continuous improvement by providing expertise for work preparation


Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in engineering, at least Master's or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Knowledge in the field of mechanical aircraft components and structures is mandatory
  • Experience in Technical Support is required
  • Proficient use of MS Office
  • Business fluent English (at least C1) and very good German skills
  • Teamwork skills and resilience
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
