Tasks
- Supervise testability designs (Built-In Test) from avionics suppliers
- Develop digital fault monitoring logic for core avionics software
- Build cause-and-effect models (causal chains) to detect root causes from failure symptoms
- Define system-level diagnostic rules and filters for false alarms ("fake failures")
- Create detailed and dynamic troubleshooting procedures for all known aircraft fault patterns
- Prepare certification documentation and ensure compliance with aviation regulations
- Manage and coordinate external contractors for delegated technical deliverables
- Take over project activities including technical specifications, schedule tracking, validation, budgeting and milestone planning
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in System Engineering or a comparable engineering discipline
- At least 3 years of professional experience in product development, design engineering and general engineering and minimum 5 years of experience in managing development projects in aerospace
- At least 2 years of experience in contract or supplier management and Strong knowledge in avionics diagnostics, troubleshooting, embedded system testability and certification processes is a significant advantage
- Background in safety analyses (e.g., FMEA) is desirable and Experience in monitoring external work packages and managing budgets
- Business fluent English (min. C1) and Basic knowledge of German required; French is a plus
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (not a student visa) is mandatory
