We are looking for you as a Software Test Engineer for HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH at the Aalen site (Oberkochen/Aalen region). You will set up test environments, automate them in a meaningful way, and accompany integration and commissioning until the results are reliable. Does this sound like the job for you? Tasks

• Commissioning, integration, and testing of prototype vision systems for applications on land, on water, and underwater
• Planning, specification, development, and execution of software and system tests, including analysis, evaluation, and documentation of results
• Setting up, expanding, and introducing automated test environments
• Developing integration and system tests with hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop
• Error management, including coordinating troubleshooting with specialist departments, development teams, and customers
• Further developing test methods and expanding and maintaining the test infrastructure for hardware and software

• Participating in regular sprint meetings and working closely with the development team

Qualifications

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification
• Many years of professional experience in the relevant field
• Several years of experience in testing, ideally in integration and system testing
• Experience with test and development environments such as Jira, Confluence, DOORS, SAP, Python, Bitbucket, or Bamboo is desirable
• Knowledge of Ethernet, CANoe, VT Studio, CANopen, and MQTT
• Business fluent German and English skills (at least C1 in each)
• A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
