Strategic procurement for an aviation flagship – you shape the supply chain for the Eurofighter.
At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching, you will take on the role of Strategic Procurement Team Leader to strategically manage the supply chain for one of the world's most advanced fighter aircraft. You will develop and implement commodity strategies, conduct market analyses, and manage the entire procurement and contract landscape – from tendering to supplier performance.

The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 69,809 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 31.12.2026. Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Accountability for leading a multifunctional team (with possible delegation to Buyers)
- Commodity Strategy: Establishment, implementation, and continuous improvement of the strategic direction for products and services
- Market Analysis: Conducting global sourcing analyses including offsets
- Procurement Process: Management of tenders (CFT, RFP) and the entire contract lifecycle
- Supplier Management: Monitoring and improving supplier performance as well as sustaining long-term partnerships
- Risk Management: Ensuring proactive risk management within the supply chain
- Innovation: Identifying and leading value creation projects and supporting product/service innovation
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, or Business Administration (at least Master's or Diplom)
- Extensive professional experience (over 5 years) in procurement, project management, quality management, and supply chain
- Comprehensive experience in procurement is mandatory
- Detailed specialist knowledge of SAP; experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is advantageous
- Business fluent English (at least C1); German and Spanish skills are advantageous
- CV in English language required
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills as well as customer orientation and teamwork
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
