Responsibilities
- Transport Dispatch: Commissioning and controlling transport service providers, considering deadlines and costs
- Cost Optimization: Preparation of internal freight cost quotations and reduction of freight costs through optimal cargo space utilization
- Invoice Verification: Checking and auditing freight invoices
- Customs Approvals: Preparation and monitoring of evaluations for flat-rate transport costs
- Loading Control: Creation of loading plans and daily control of loading according to tour priority
- Problem Solving: Clarification of problem cases with transport service providers (delivery locations, times, contacts)
- Reusable Container Management: Inventory management, ensuring availability, and dispatch of reusable containers
- Master Data Maintenance: Maintenance and updating of master data in the company's internal IT system (SAP)
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as a forwarding and logistics clerk or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in logistics, particularly in dispatching truck transports
- Experience with sea and air freight as well as in administrative transport processing and shipping
- Confident handling of MS Office and SAP (knowledge of detailed functions)
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and basic English skills (at least A2)
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and analytical and structured thinking
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
