Responsibilities
- Processing SMS cases in the FAL Hamburg environment, including consistent follow-up until completion (backlog management)
- Analyzing aviation safety-related speak-ups: defining immediate measures, conducting root cause analysis, deriving corrective actions, and verifying effectiveness
- Managing and facilitating cross-functional teams and coordinating with Safety Items Management, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and other departments
- Ensuring the responsibilities of an SMS Network Member, including structured recording of speak-ups
- Preparing data analyses for monitoring and reporting to support informed decisions within the SMS network
- Defining and further developing local governance, including documentation
- Preparing for and supporting audits in coordination with the SMS network (as needed)
- Planning and implementing continuous improvement and preventive measures, as well as organizing regular progress and case review meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aircraft construction, engineering, aerospace engineering, or industrial engineering
- Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in quality management
- Several years of experience (at least 3 years) in project management and process improvement
- Initial professional experience in engineering as well as initial experience in project management
- Strong knowledge of Lean Management and Total Quality Management (problem-solving methods)
- Basic experience in data analysis
- Advanced practical knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of Google Workspace as well as basic knowledge of Kaizen and risk management
- Fluent German and English language skills (at least C1 level in each)
- Resume in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (not a student visa) is mandatory
