Tasks

  • Develop, implement and manage supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance overall performance
  • Manage supplier relationships, including selection, performance tracking and contract negotiations, with a focus on delivery schedules and quality targets
  • Define and enforce quality standards and quality control across the entire supply chain (from raw materials to the finished product)
  • Plan and conduct audits and process assessments at suppliers and internally, including deriving concrete improvement actions
  • Lead problem-solving activities for supply shortages, quality deviations and non-conformances, including corrective and preventive actions
  • Coordinate closely with production, engineering and procurement to align supply chain and quality with operational objectives
  • Analyze supply chain data and quality metrics, including forecasting and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Drive continuous improvement in the supply chain and the quality management system (e.g. Lean/KAIZEN)

Qualifications

  • Degree in aircraft engineering, engineering, or supply chain / quality
  • Several years of professional experience in aircraft manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, quality management, and supply chain
  • Good knowledge of KAIZEN, Lean Management, project management, and Total Quality Management / problem-solving methods
  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning, supply chain planning software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Advanced user skills in Python and SAP, plus confident use of Google Workspace
  • Fluent English (min. C1) and advanced German (min. B1)
  • Willingness to travel approx. once per month
  • CV in English required
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
