Responsibilities
- Conducting quality control of the completed work based on the applicable production and manufacturing documents, including complete documentation
- Independent inspection, testing, and buy-off of assembly work in the area of engine and nacelle installations
- Creation, processing, and maintenance of quality-relevant documentation
- Conducting receiving inspections to verify and release incoming parts and components
- Coordination and processing of parts in the quarantine area (Non-Conforming Hardware)
- Identification, assessment, and consistent escalation of non-conformities before the transition of the aircraft to the next production stage
- Ensuring the implementation and compliance with internal guidelines and standards for quality documentation
- Recording, processing, and documenting complaints in the Collins and Airbus IT systems
- Communication and coordination with customers regarding technical inquiries, quality deviations, and complaints
- Providing technical support to employees on complex quality-related issues
- Active participation and contribution to the continuous improvement process (CORE)
- Consistent adherence to all applicable occupational safety, accident prevention, and environmental protection regulations in accordance with the EHS policy
Qualifications
- Several years of practical experience as a quality inspector, quality auditor, or in a comparable quality assurance role in aviation
- Successfully completed internal qualification as a Quality Inspector or a comparable qualification recognized for the position
- In-depth knowledge of relevant inspection criteria, acceptance standards, and buy-off procedures
- Proficient in applicable quality, process, and safety regulations, with a strong sense of responsibility in their implementation
- Good PC user skills, particularly in MS Office; knowledge of SAP and ideally other relevant IT systems is an advantage
- Very good German language skills as well as good English language skills, both written and spoken
- Strong customer and service orientation, along with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Independent, structured, and reliable work style, with a high level of quality and responsibility awareness
- Willingness to work in a shift system and to be on call regularly on weekends, generally about once a month, in accordance with applicable labor law and company regulations
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
