Aviation Equipment Planning Engineer (m/f/x)

You’ll ensure new systems are launched smoothly from planning through to stable production.

We are seeking you as an Equipment Planning Engineer with a focus on paint shops and surface coating for Lufthansa Technik AG at the Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel location. Here, you will combine technology, processes, and project work: You will evaluate existing systems, drive automation forward, and serve as the point of contact for internal departments regarding machinery, equipment, and operational resources. Responsibilities

  • Planning, procurement, commissioning, and modification of production facilities and machinery with a focus on paint shops and surface coating systems
  • Analysis of existing systems and development of measures for further development and standardization
  • Automation of technical processes to ensure optimal capacity utilization and stable plant performance
  • Collaboration on national and international projects to equip production facilities with machinery, systems, and equipment
  • Technical support and consultation for internal clients regarding equipment, machinery, and systems
  • Coordination of interfaces (production, maintenance, occupational safety, suppliers) to ensure on-time implementation


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, production engineering, or a comparable field
  • Initial professional experience in the field of production facilities and/or building services engineering is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of occupational safety and environmental law, e.g., Machinery Ordinance, Federal Immission Control Act, Technical Guidelines for Air Quality, Industrial Safety Ordinance
  • Good general computer skills
  • Advanced German and English language skills (at least B2 level in each)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours / early shifts
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (not a student visa) is mandatory
