Responsibilities
- Design, implementation, and testing of scalable GenAI services, chatbots, and autonomous agents using modern frameworks
- Deployment, operation, and optimization of on-premise LLM infrastructures (particularly Docker and Kubernetes), including performance and resource management
- Implementation of Security-by-Design and ensuring compliance with strict security and compliance requirements in the defense sector
- Development and optimization of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for connecting to internal knowledge databases
- Implementation of Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools for standardized, secure interfaces between AI models and internal tools/data sources
- Technical support, troubleshooting, and creation of technical documentation, best practices, and enablement for internal users
- Contribution to the technical roadmap through proof-of-concepts for new AI use cases
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, or demonstrable practical experience in AI / Data Science
- Several years of experience in developing LLM applications, chatbots, and agents
- Experience with inference frameworks (e.g., vLLM, SGLang) and vector databases (e.g., Qdrant, Chroma)
- Strong proficiency in Python, as well as foundational experience with RAG architectures and MCP
- Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, monitoring) in on-premises environments
- Business-level proficiency in German (min. C1); advanced proficiency in English (min. B2)
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (not a student visa) is mandatory
