Tasks

  • Development of modules and models for IP-based networks and IT infrastructures in satellite communication systems
  • Analysis of customer requirements and development of practical use cases
  • Evaluation and comparison of available IT products and solutions on the market
  • Definition of project-specific adaptations and extensions
  • Planning, setup and integration of systems in laboratory or customer environments
  • Execution of verification activities, IT deployments and on-site hardware installations
  • Creation of technical documentation, acceptance materials and training resources
  • Support during customer acceptance processes and presentation of prototypes and demos

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Communication Engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Initial experience in implementing projects in the fields of IP networks, IT infrastructure or information systems
  • Ideally, knowledge of SATCOM systems used by the German Armed Forces
  • Familiarity with DOORS and methods such as agile development, V-model and requirements management is desirable
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server/Client and Microsoft Active Directory; Linux skills are an advantage
  • Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills (at least B2)
  • Willingness to travel for customer assignments and occasional on-site installations
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
