For our client, Airbus Operations GmbH in Bremen, we are looking for an Engineer Materials & Surface Technology – initially limited to 12 months. Tasks

  • Management of development projects in the field of metal surface treatment
  • Specification and verification of material and process requirements
  • Evaluation of technical properties of new procedures using corrosion and adhesion tests
  • Development of quality assurance concepts and standardization measures
  • Definition of test programs and technical requirements for product development
  • Analysis and documentation of surface processes, including the preparation of technical reports
  • Technical support for corrosion-related issues from production and customer operations
  • Collaboration with international teams and interdisciplinary partners

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or Engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in engineering, material testing and electroplating (galvanic technology)
  • Experience in surface technology and corrosion protection is desirable
  • Confident use of Google Workspace tools
  • English business fluent (min. C1), German skills are an advantage
  • Quick understanding of complex technical interrelationships as well as an independent, structured, and results-oriented way of working
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across all organizational levels
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
