We are seeking an Engineer / Project Manager for Engine Maintenance for our client Lufthansa Technik AG at their Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel location. Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, modify, and commission tools and equipment for the assembly and disassembly of engines as well as for repairs
- Lead or actively participate in repair development projects, including capacity expansion for engine lines and shops
- Analyze and specifically optimize workflows and processes in tooling and equipment planning and development
- Ensure documentation complies with legal and Lufthansa-specific requirements, including material master data, test instructions, operating manuals, and CE conformity
- Economically evaluate the specification, tendering, and procurement of tooling and equipment and implement them in coordination with Purchasing
- Carry out development projects within the scope of the LHT development operation (EASA DOA 21J) as a Design Engineer (development, documentation, verification)
- Take on special tasks and help shape or lead projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (university of applied sciences/technical university) in mechanical engineering or a comparable engineering discipline
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in project management and fixture construction
- Solid knowledge of business management concepts (cost-benefit analysis, economic efficiency)
- Good knowledge of relevant design and machinery standards for safe operation, e.g., CE, DIN, EN
- Good knowledge of engine components, materials, and relevant repair procedures
- Good knowledge of relevant aviation construction regulations as well as Lufthansa-related regulations
- Basic knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD), e.g., Siemens NX, Teamcenter, or SolidWorks
- German language skills (min. B2) and English language skills (min. C1)
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (not a student visa) is mandatory
- Additional qualification as a Design Engineer is desirable or willingness to obtain one
