For our client HENSOLDT Sensors GmbH, we are looking for an FPGA Development Engineer at the Ulm site. You will develop firmware for military systems and implement complex signal processing algorithms in FPGAs – from conception to system integration.

The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 74,917 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 31.08.2027. Responsibilities
- FPGA design for Electronic Warfare (EW) applications, from conception to implementation
- Signal processing algorithms optimized and implemented in VHDL and C
- Verification and functional testing of the design on target hardware
- System integration, verification, and qualification actively supported
- Documentation of design, requirements, and verification created and maintained
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or comparable field (at least Bachelor's degree)
- Initial professional experience in the specification and development of FPGAs
- Very good knowledge of VHDL, FPGA architecture, and digital circuit technology
- Experience with FPGA manufacturer tools (preferably Xilinx) and High-Level Synthesis (e.g., Vivado HLS)
- Business fluent German (at least C1) and proficient English (at least B2)
- High degree of responsibility, resilience, and organizational talent
- Teamwork, communication skills, and independent working style
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
