Responsibilities


  • Sample preparation through cutting, separating, bonding, and pressing for all laboratory areas
  • Laboratory supervision: Supporting the maintenance and monitoring of testing equipment and facilities
  • Documentation: Contributing to the creation of test documentation and work instructions
  • Instrumentation: Preparing and installing test specimens and components for measurements
  • Mechanical testing: Performing tensile, compression, shear tests as well as specialized tests like ILSS (Interlaminar Shear Strength) and SLS (Single Lap Shear)
  • Thermal analysis: Executing Dynamic Mechanical Analyses (DMA) and (modulated) Differential Scanning Calorimetry (MDSC)
  • Qualification: Conducting standard norm tests for material release and component qualification


Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as materials testing technician, chemical laboratory assistant or comparable qualification, ideally with master craftsman diploma
  • Several years of professional experience in manufacturing/production, laboratory work/laboratory technology, measurement technology, and technical documentation
  • Practical knowledge and experience in thermal analysis (DMA & MDSC) as well as mechanical testing with materials testing machines (e.g., Zwick/Roell)
  • Confident use of MS Office and GSuite for documentation and data management
  • Confident handling of reactive media (solvents, chemicals, adhesives)
  • Teamwork skills, meticulous work approach, and analytical thinking
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) mandatory
