We are currently looking for a Satellite & Space Systems Mechanic for our client Airbus Defence and Space GmbH at their Immenstaad site. Here, you won't be building fictional prototypes – you'll be working directly on real satellites. Tasks

  • Integration of mechanical and electrical components in satellites and space instruments
  • Assembly, overhaul, and functional testing of devices and equipment
  • Preparation and execution of environmental tests for space components
  • Documentation of work steps according to specifications
  • Participation in test campaigns in Germany and abroad with travel periods of several months
  • Work in accordance with aviation and space-specific standards and procedures
  • Assumption of responsibility for work packages, including time recording and budget compliance

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training as an automotive mechanic, industrial mechanic, precision mechanic, or in a metalworking profession
  • Many years of experience in mechanics, ideally in precision mechanics or measurement technology
  • Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing, bonding technology, and plastics processing
  • Experience in space integration is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of German (at least B2) and English (at least C1)
  • Confident use of MS Office
  • Willingness to spend several months abroad for test campaigns
  • Valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
