Tasks
- Manual and machine-based manufacture of operating equipment such as prototypes, tools and fixtures based on drawings and sketches
- Machining and processing of materials such as CFRP, GFRP, epoxy resin, silicones, wood and aluminium in structural/tooling construction
- Planning the work sequence including material procurement, preparation and set-up of workstations and machines
- Performing precise fitting, cutting, grinding and bondingtasks in plastics processing
- Supporting tool trials through to series readiness and ensuring full functionality
- Clarifying technical questions and coordinating with specialist departments in case of ambiguities
- Operating various plastics-processing machines, e.g. panel saw, band saw, disc sander, pillar drill and router
Qualifications
- Completed technical/industrial vocational training, e.g. plastics process technician, industrial mechanic, carpenter or joiner, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in manufacturing/production, aircraft manufacturing, aviation mechanics, industrial mechanics and in carpentry/joinery
- Practical experience in plastics toolmaking, classic hand lay-up/laminating and woodworking
- Confident use of plastics-processing machines and knowledge of ITEM profile system construction
- Basic knowledge of drawing software as well as experience working with CNC milling machines
- Experience with Heidenhain control iTNC530 is an advantage
- Confident use of IT system applications, especially Microsoft Office
- Very good German skills (min. C1) and advanced English skills (min. B2)
- Willingness to work in a 2-shift model, flexible working hours and occasional assignments abroad
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
