Responsibilities
- System definition: Translate customer needs into clear specifications and acceptance criteria
- Technical roadmap: Plan the technical roadmap together with a team of system and software engineers, breaking it down into tasks and milestones
- Product backlog: Independently prioritize the product backlog, balancing new features, technical improvements, and customer feedback
- UI development: Drive the development of user-centric, high-performance user interfaces with Qt/QML, aligning design with usability and architectural integrity
- Risk management: Proactively identify and resolve risks before they impact delivery
- Quality delivery: Ensure high-quality product delivery on time within agreed budgets and scope
- Supplier management: Manage collaboration with external suppliers and subcontractors and ensure their seamless integration into the overall system
- Progress monitoring: Regularly monitor, evaluate, and report progress, challenges, and customer feedback to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering (at least Master's or Diplom)
- Many years of professional experience in engineering as well as in the aerospace industry
- Professional experience across the entire system engineering lifecycle of simulation projects is required
- Understanding of modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps pipelines, containerization)
- Familiarity with software technologies such as C++ and Qt/QML
- Business fluent English (at least C1); German language skills are advantageous
- Teamwork skills, communication strength, and independent working style
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
