At Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH in Donauwörth, you will take on the role of Strategic Buyer, responsible for material procurement for civil and military helicopters. You negotiate framework contracts, manage supplier relationships, and secure material supply for series production and spare parts stocking – in an international environment that requires strategic thinking and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities


  • Strategic procurement and supplier management for raw materials, forgings, and castings in the civil and military helicopter sector
  • Material supply for series production and spare parts stocking in close coordination with operational procurement
  • Price and condition negotiations according to mandate and Operational Plan (OP), conducted independently
  • Framework, volume, and development contracts negotiated and concluded
  • Development projects supported on an interdisciplinary basis, participating in supplier selection
  • Supplier management for continuous performance improvement and risk minimization
  • Market monitoring in the procurement area, deriving strategic action options


Qualifications

  • Completed degree in engineering or business administration (at least Bachelor's) or comparable qualification
  • Many years of professional experience in strategic procurement (over 5 years)
  • Several years of experience in supply chain management and contract management (each over 3 years)
  • Proficient use of SAP and MS Excel (detailed specialist knowledge)
  • Business fluent German and English (at least C1)
  • High social competence, communication skills, and teamwork
  • Structured way of working and experience in collaborating with international partners
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
