For our client Airbus Operations GmbH, we are looking for a Strategic Purchaser for Supplier Relations at the Hamburg-Finkenwerder site who is confident in international purchasing, strategically manages supplier relations, and conducts contract negotiations with foresight. Tasks

  • Conducting tenders and contract negotiations to ensure optimal purchasing conditions
  • Monitoring and managing existing contracts throughout the entire product life cycle
  • Continuous performance evaluation and management of suppliers in the areas of quality, costs, logistics, and support
  • Maintenance and management of supplier relationships with a focus on risk minimization and value creation
  • Collaboration in cross-functional and cross-border teams during tenders, contract conclusions, and contract terms
  • Support for innovation and development projects in the international purchasing environment

Qualifications

  • Degree in industrial engineering, business administration, logistics, supply chain management or similar
  • Several years of experience in purchasing, supplier management, contract management and in the aerospace industry
  • Strong SAP user skills and experience with Google Workspace
  • Business fluent English (at least C1) and advanced German (at least B2)
  • Airbus experience is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Resume in English required
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
