At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching, you will work as a Stress Engineer Structural Analysis at the interface of structural analysis and software development. You develop and validate stress methods and the associated software applications for the entire lifecycle of aircraft, directly contributing to technology projects and the next generation of analysis tools.

Responsibilities
- Method Development: Develop, improve, and validate stress and structural analysis methods
- Software Development: Actively contribute to the entire software development lifecycle for existing and new tools
- Code Development: Develop, adapt, and maintain software code, including verification and validation activities
- Support: Provide continuous support to stress teams regarding methods and software
- Project Work: Perform structural analyses such as stress analysis, overall aircraft sizing, and Multidisciplinary Optimization (MDO)
- International Collaboration: Interact and cooperate with international structural analysis teams
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (at least Master's/Diploma) or equivalent qualification
- Experience in structural analysis using non-numerical/handbook methods required
- Experience in Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis mandatory
- Knowledge of Airbus Defence and Space products beneficial
- Programming skills in Python and C++ required; FORTRAN skills desired
- Familiarity with agile software development
- Advanced German and English skills (at least B2) required; fluent preparation of written technical documentation in English is a must
- Proactive and positive teamwork attitude in a transnational environment
- Analytical thinking and independent working style
- CV in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
