Tasks

  • Create and evaluate finite element (FE) models based on component geometries
  • Perform weight calculations and determine appropriate materials
  • Optimize components for strength and weight efficiency
  • Conduct preliminary checks and perform static verification
  • Evaluate specifications, deviations, and change requests
  • Specify, execute, and analyze material and component tests
  • Prepare and document compliancefor structural and weight-related requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, aerospace engineering, or mechanical engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in aircraft construction, particularly in calculation and FEM verification
  • Experience with fiber composites and lightweight construction principles
  • Good knowledge of project, process, and change management as well as total quality management (problem-solving methods)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and FEM tools such as Patran, Nastran, Hyperworks, or ANSYS
  • Good German and English skills (at least C1 in each)
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
