As a Systems Engineer at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching, you will take responsibility for systems that prepare, generate and analyse Mission Data Libraries – in the Electronic Warfare environment. Tasks
- Analyzing avionics system designs as well as deriving and evaluating system requirements
- Developing executable test plans for the verification of technical specifications
- Defining and adapting design requirements for mission data generation, including workflow definition
- Supporting test evaluation to assess function and performance in the laboratory
- Operating systems and test equipment for verification against requirements (including an electronic warfare environment)
- Testing EW-related systems such as emitter location systems, radar warning systems, or test environments with RF emitter simulators
- Participating in the end-to-end systems/software engineering lifecycle chain (all phases)
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications (Master’s/Diploma)
- Extensive professional experience in electrical engineering/electronics, engineering, IT/information systems and aerospace
- Sound knowledge of the systems/software engineering life cycle (experience in all phases) and of Electronic Warfare principles / Electronic Warfare support
- Experience with self-defence systems, radar systems and electronic support systems, as well as experience with test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, RF signal generator)
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, IBM DOORS, and experience with Jira, Confluence and Atlassian software development
- Nice to have: automated testing tools, version control (Git), scripting (e.g. Python)
- English fluent (min. C1); German is an advantage
- CV in English is required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
