Tasks

  • Analyzing, reproducing, and documenting reported errors from bug tickets in server and virtualization environments
  • Close coordination with development, system engineering, and quality assurance for structured error evaluation
  • Creating and executing test cases based on system requirements
  • Maintaining and further developing IT server virtualization environments (operation and stabilization)
  • Implementing IT infrastructures, including troubleshooting and technical documentation
  • Developing solutions for complex incident tickets (system and application level), reproducing them in the test lab, and documenting the work steps
  • Installing and testing patches for hardware and software components – especially in virtualized and partially nested virtualized systems

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in computer science or electrical engineering or a comparable qualification at bachelor's level
  • Proven practical experience in IT server infrastructure and virtualization systems
  • Knowledge of virtualization solutions from the Red Hat and OpenShift product range (system architecture and initial commissioning)
  • Very good understanding of system architecture and essential fundamentals of systems engineering
  • Familiarity with virtualization systems with a large number of running system components
  • Knowledge of VMware, Red Hat, or comparable technologies is an advantage
  • Desirable: Experience with bug tracking and collaboration tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Xray
  • Business fluent German and English skills (at least C1 in each
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
