We are looking for a Test Engineer Helicopters for our customer Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH at their Donauwörth site. In this role, you will work at the interface between development, testing, and certification. You will accompany prototypes and series helicopters through all phases of flight testing – with technical precision, in an interdisciplinary manner, and with an international network. Tasks
- Planning and coordination of ground and flight tests for prototypes and series helicopters
- Coordination with internal and external project participants to consolidate all test activities
- Evaluation of specifications and test orders with regard to technical feasibility, infrastructure, and required equipment
- Ensuring correct test configuration, including helicopters, instrumentation, and equipment
- Support in conducting tests on location and at external test locations
- Operation and maintenance of test equipment, e.g., radio and telemetry systems
- Preparation and coordination of test and approval reports
- Administrative tasks related to flight test campaigns, e.g., documentation, statistics, flight hours
Qualifications
- Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or comparable field
- Many years of experience in project management
- Several years of professional experience in system integration/system design, weapon system design, testing and qualification, certification and safety
- Knowledge of avionics and aircraft systems and systems engineering, including requirements management, system design, integration, validation and airworthiness
- Resume in English required
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
