At Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching, you will take on the role of Test Engineer Software Integration, responsible for two of the central mission computers in the Eurofighter. You ensure customer requirements are correctly implemented and prepare the airworthiness certification of the entrusted hardware and software.

The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 63,141 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 30.09.2027. Responsibilities


  • Requirements Verification: Ensure customer requirements for the Eurofighter avionics are correctly and completely implemented
  • System Responsibility: Take responsibility for two of the central mission computers in the Eurofighter
  • Early Error Detection: Early detection of errors and support for system and software developers
  • Certification Preparation: Prepare the airworthiness certification of the entrusted hardware and software
  • Test Scenario Design: Creative development of suitable flight scenarios for integration tests
  • Project Coordination: Coordination of small, cross-functional, and international project teams


Qualifications

  • Successfully completed Master's or Diplom degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in IT/information systems
  • Experience in the field of avionics integration is required
  • Experience in software development for embedded, safety-critical systems, ideally with reference to DO178, V-Model, EASA Part 21J / ZDv
  • Business fluent English (at least C1); German language skills are an advantage
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
  • Analytical thinking, teamwork, and an independent way of working
