The gross annual salary is, depending on qualifications, max. 57,075 €. This position is initially to be filled on a fixed-term basis until 31.12.2027. Responsibilities


  • Data centre operations: Operational responsibility for server platforms and virtualisation solutions based on Windows and Linux
  • Infrastructure planning: Planning and management of the physical setup of data centres (rack planning) as well as coordination with facility management
  • Project support: Support in the planning, development, and implementation of new server infrastructure solutions
  • Cost management: Planning and adherence to annual costs while continuously developing the infrastructure
  • Incident analysis: Technical support for root cause analysis and for incidents in the data centre environment
  • Administration: Performing the highest-level administrative tasks within your area of responsibility


Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification (at least a Bachelor's degree)
  • Several years of professional experience in IT / information systems
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management Maintenance
  • Practical experience with one or more of the following technologies: Data centre infrastructures with hyper-converged hardware platforms, server, virtualisation, storage, backup environments, data centre operations and monitoring
  • Experience in the field of automation (e.g., with Ansible) is desirable
  • Proficient handling of products such as HPE SYNERGY, LINUX/UNIX, RedHat Server, CITRIX, NETapp, and CheckMK
  • Business fluent German (at least C1) and proficient English (at least B2)
  • Strong communication skills, initiative, and analytical thinking
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
