Tasks
- Performing cosmetic and structural work on CFRP components (composite repair)
- Processing fiber-reinforced plastics and professionally applying copper fabric
- Grinding to prepare and finish repair areas
- Disassembling and assembling structural and system components
- Inserting and removing fasteners
- Applying sanding and scarfing techniques to produce force- and form-fitting laminate transitions
- Repairing and refurbishing sandwich components
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic, aircraft builder, industrial mechanic, in a metalworking profession, as a carpenter, or as a process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology
- Initial professional experience in aircraft construction is an advantage (career entry also possible)
- Experience with CFRP/GFRP is essential
- Confident handling of 2D/3D construction documents (reading, implementation, feedback)
- Knowledge of SAP and ideally OMI/Airina is an advantage
- Advanced German (at least B2); basic English
- Willingness to work shifts in a 2–3-shift operation
- A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is essential
